Tesla has cancelled the Cybertruck for Australia and New Zealand, telling reservation holders in an email.

"After careful consideration, plans to produce Cybertruck for Australia and New Zealand have been discontinued," the email says.

Deposits refunded

Reservations will be cancelled and deposits refunded in full. Australian holders paid A$150 to reserve a Cybertruck from November 2019.

Tesla will send a separate email to confirm refund details. The refund follows within 30 days of the holder confirming them.

A free year of FSD (Supervised)

Holders who order a new Model 3 or Model Y are offered a free one-year FSD (Supervised) subscription. The offer can be combined with current deals.

FSD (Supervised) costs A$149 a month. A year would cost 12 x A$149 = A$1,788.

Left-hand drive only

The Cybertruck is built only in left-hand drive.
